About the exhibition:
"PositiveArt is a creative group that has been operating for 13 years. It is an interdisciplinary group consisting of OW ZPAP artists, which combines both outstanding Polish names and young artists under one banner - an emanation of the "bright side of creative power" in the presented works. In contrast to art which is a sublimation of negative experiences, emotions and traumas, a melancholic, dark or catastrophic vision of the world - PositiveArt artists focus on extracting the potential of good emotions, strength, enthusiasm and striving for development, overcoming one's weaknesses and life difficulties - admiration for the beauty of nature and positive human activities. Their goal is to communicate with the recipient through art.
The year 2022 was established by the Sejm as the Year of Polish Romanticism. That is why this time the PositiveArt group will face the interpretation of the idea of Romanticism in a modern version.
The Romantic era is associated with the darkness of captivity, national martyrdom and the exposure of emotional suffering. Our artists want to bring out and show its brightest side - which has permanently changed the face of our culture - inspired by what is positive, beautiful and uplifting in it: patriotism flowing from the heart, freedom as an inalienable value, the appreciated role of emotions and spiritual life instead of cold rationalism both in life and in art, rebellion against canons and conventions, as well as the powerful force of love - both for other people and for the homeland. We will not omit such trends characteristic of the Romantic era as symbolism, dreams, images from dreams and imagination, visionary, fascination with the power of nature, protests against classicism and harmony. Of course, there will also be contemporary interpretations and inspirations from the works of the greatest Polish artists - composers, poets, painters of the Romantic era.
