Emil Zola claimed that art is a fragment of reality seen by the artist's temperament. What temperament does Edyta Dzierż represent? - you will see at the exhibition at the -1 Gallery in Warsaw.
The latest exhibition by Edyta Dzierż, "In the fumes of color", is an example of the perfect relationship between nature and color, which for the author are key points in her work. Nature, which stimulates cognition and creative impulses, forces you to concentrate and create new qualities. Color, on the other hand, is the essence of painting and an expression of energy that affects the viewer and space. Color is supposed to hit the viewer, influence the shape of rhythms, sounds - just sound. During the live painting or the author's performances, the viewer can directly perceive the stimuli in the form of thoughts, ideas, traces, signs, words, sounds and energy.
Edyta Dzierż is close to the concept of 'synesthesia', which manifests itself in searching for and defining relationships between image, sound and light. Concentration and commitment are inscribed in the artist's painting and performance. The senses interpenetrate, complement and visualize. There is a common bond between the artist and the viewer of creating, improvising and discovering individual and shared emotions.
The viewer, communing with the real-abstract images and sounds in Edyta Dzierż's works, subconsciously adjusts to them. She empathizes with the dynamics and energy of: color, sound, light, form, shape, texture and smell.
